WHAT A DAY!!

So I was sick all night last night with cold sweats so I didn't make it in to work. I don't know what it was I was dizzy, kept feeling like I was gonna hurl..it was bad. I had to get up still to go to the doc. First we had to take Parker to the dentist for his toothaches and it was a fun hopsital..looked like an amusement park and he was diagnosed with a bcessed tooth so in 2 weeks we are taking him back to be put to sleep and have it removed. (we haven't told him that yet)

I than had to go to my dermatolgists appointment and I am scheduled to have all my skin tags removed on the 24th of November. I also have some weird skin conditon going on and have to take pills for 5 days.

On one good note Last night was the 4th night in a row that Ava slept til 6am after going to bed at 10!!! I hope she continues to sleep through the night. It must be the 6-8oz's of milk she is getting everynight at bedtime! She is growing quickly ...she is almost out of 0-3months!!!

Happy Birthday Nick and Nat

Well we just got back from a loong day at Parker's cousins birthday party. It was a costume party. Parker had his Army costume on and Ava her Ballerina onesie..however these are not what they are wearing on Halloween..these were something quick and easy that they can manage in the hot sun.

They had a bounce house and had a ton of games to play. Parker won the game of musical chairs.
It was fun seeing all the cousins together. The kids had a great time. I am ready for bed now though..so much food and a couple of stiff drinks with my sister in laws I am DONE.
Good nite!

Scrapbooking Fever

Ok..It is been a Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time since I have scrapbooked and I got the fever and more cowbell is not the answer.

Anyways today we went to the swap meet and there was a booth there with nothing but scrap booking stuff and I got me a new heat tool for embossing and bought a gazillion Jolee's boutique stickers and other embellishments all for a buck a piece!!!

Well tonight I had my husband pull out about 5 big bins full of nothing but my scrap booking supplies. A lot I got when I used to assist this lady long time ago with her scrap booking supply business on eBay.

I also have a big bin of pictures I need to sort out and file them in order.

Anyway here are a few photos (not so great cause we have bad lighting in our living room) of some scrapbook pages I done.

Reflecting on the Days of Rallying

So I am enjoying a glass of wine and reflecting on my more youthful days of going to clubs, going to rallies and doing a whole Lotta of drinking.
I was just thinking about that one of the funnest rallies I have been too is going on this weekend. The Nogales Scooter rally.
I remember me and my husband ( boyfriend at the time)and his friend and my friend all crammed in a truck driving to Arizona. It was a long long drive.
Some highlights of the rally was riding through the desert with no helmet for 4 hours to the camp site. After we pitched our tents a group of us jumped in the back of a friends pick up truck and drove to TJ for dinner and drinks. My husband got really loaded and almost went to jail for grabbing this huge vase thing in the restaurant and carrying out of the restaurant and they chased him down...what a insane night. We than ( highly intoxicated) drove back to the campsite wearing sombreros and partied the night away.
I remember one funny moment when our friend Mike Burns was driving a support truck to the campsite and the back was full of peoples belongings while they rode their scooters and I guess some pillows blew out the back of the truck and he was in the middle of the street picking up pillows and we laughed at him as we were passing by on the scooters.
Anyway I miss going to scooter rallies..I try to make it out to one every so often..
I thought I would post some random scooter photos..

Trick-o-Treating

I looved trick o treating as a child and I would love to come home dump out my treats in one big pile smack dab in the middle of the floor and sort out my candies. I always had my lollipop pile, candy bar pile, bagged goodies pile ( like Skittles, sour patch kids, sugar babies) and the pile that Mom can have.

Which brings me to this post that my friend Josh put up on Myspace.
It really made me have a Halloween FlashBack.

Enjoy...

The 10 Most Disappointing Treats for Trick-or-Treaters by Ed Levine
On Halloween night, some houses struggle with the idea of candy. There are good houses, and there are bad houses. The best trick-or-treaters know to avoid the latter. At the food site Serious Eats, we all love Halloween, but wish certain homes would just stop handing out the classically bad "treats." They weren't good last year, the year before that, or now. Our own Erin Zimmer put together this list of our top 10 Halloween treats that nobody wants...
Toothbrushes?
Dentists and orthodontists should not be allowed to celebrate Halloween if they're going to get all tooth doctory on us. Do not bring your work home with you, folks! We all have a personal responsibility to brush, and maybe some of us will forget, but your complimentary bristles on a stick (instead of a Snickers) will not help us remember. It will make us despise you and your trade.
Raisins?
Little boxes of stuck-together shriveled globs are not what little kids schlep around the neighborhood for all night. When they say trick-or-treat, they want candy that will rot their teeth, not wrinkled grapes. (Using an empty box as a kazoo-like instrument, though, is kinda fun.)
Candy Corn?
The most polarizing candy of all. The fruitcake of Halloween; it just never goes away. If you love them, fine. But don't subject the rest of us haters to the sickeningly sweet triangle that tastes like neither candy nor corn.
Smarties and Necco Wafers?
These chalky candies are supposedly "fruit-flavored," but no fruit I know tastes like dust -- and makes everything eaten after taste like dust, too.
Dum Dum Lollipops?
Usually, foods on a stick are yummy (corn dogs, ice pops), but Dum Dums just can't be included on that list. Not even if they were breaded and deep-fried and served at a fair.
Apples?
Long before "poisoned candy" scares, evil people were handing out apples instead of candy on Halloween. This disappointing "treat" is the main reason to avoid unwrapped food while trick-or-treating.
Tootsie Rolls?
It looks like chocolate and sort of smells like chocolate, but the mini brown tubes are not real chocolate. They taste like watered-down chocolate, and have a chewy texture that will strip the fillings right off your molars.
Miscellaneous, Wrapped Hard Candies?Halloween is supposed to be a holiday for young people, not senior citizens who suck on hard candies all day. Something about the strawberry-shaped strawberries, gold-wrapped butterscotch, and peppermint feels past the expiration date. (These usually get set aside for Granny.)
Laffy Taffy?
I do not laffy when I get these. I sobby. I get depressedy. Because it gets all stucky to my teethy and doesn't even taste that goody.
Anything Fun-Sized?
Who started calling it this? Since when is one bite fun?! Give us the rich houses with the sprawling driveways and full-sized candy bars any day. Portion control doesn't need to start this young.

Feeling like a kid again

I was reflecting on my childhood today and thought about my favorite toy growing up and I remember it was my beloved dollhouse.

I got my dollhouse for xmas. It was the most beautiful wooden dollhouse and my dad made it for me which made it all more special.

I played with that house everyday. I played with it till it became a safety hazard with it's broken pieces of wood here and there snagging at my arm.

I remember painting the rooms and making my own pieces of furniture with little odds and ends I would find around the house. I had Sulvainan (sp) family (there were little furry animal figurines that came in family and had outfits).

My mom would give me homemade dough and I would mold them into food shapes and bake them, than paint them and put a gloss over them and they worked perfectly for my little families.

Anyway
Today I bought almost the exact dollhouse for Ava.
I thought it would be a fun project for Gabe,Parker and myself to all pitch in and create together for her.

My new Blog ..Check it out

So I was thinking about all the cool collectable items that people have and decided to start a new blog The Collectors Corner..Bascially my goal is to each day make a blog featuring some cool item that people collect and try to write up a little information on it.

Night-Night

So I am trying to get Ava in her Sleep routine. I like to give her a bath and then use some lavender baby massage lotion and give her a baby massage and then read her a story and Close off with a big nice warm bottle.

Her sleeping has been so unstable but getting better. She usually wakes up at 2:30 and 5:30.
Last night she slept til 5:30 which was really nice.
Anyway I put on her fuzzy slippers and pj's and had her Sleep Sheep playing. We were having fun playing with the rattle too.

We had the photographer over on Saturday and he did a really nice photo shoot. I can't wait to see how the pictures will come out.
I ended up hiring him to come do her milestone photos.
I love the fact that the photo studio comes to my house instead of me fighting with the crowds.
It really is worth the extra cash.

I am gonna arrange for the family Xmas photo....It will be our first REAL family portrait.

So today we went to meet up with my co worker and his girlfriend for brunch at French 75. It was soo awesome.
I had creme brulee french toast, fillet Mignon Benedict, apple sausage, diced potatoes with cheese and tons of mimosa's. I than had two tiny creme brulee's and a flour less chocolate cake. It was a very nice layout of food. It is awesome if you like seafood loaded with crab legs, shrimp, lobster, and oysters. They even had coq au van chicken..very french and ofcourse crepes. Anyway after we ate Gabe and I went shopping at Fashion Island. I got a few things cuter things for Ava.
I wish I could have had the souffle again..it so fun when they prepare it. We always get it with dinner.

Another crazy day..

So yesterday the Vice President of my company I work for was in town to make plans for the new building we will be moving into. She basically came down to decide how it will be designed and to buy all new office furniture and to deligate who will be in what offices and what the other rooms will be used for.
Her, My boss and myself all went to the new office to brainstorm ideas. Afterward I had arranged for her to meet with a furniture broker at a showroom in Irvine after viewing the office. We stopped at Wahoo's for lunch than dropped off my boss at the office while we went shopping for new furniture. It was a lot of fun we got tons of sample fabrics and mapped out where we wanted everything to go. We spent 3 hours there which was not to bad to furnish a Huge office. Once we got back to the office to get our belongings She and I went to Fashion Island to have some cocktails and meet my boss and his wife for dinner at French 75. It was a loooong day!
Today her and I went back to the new office with a contractor to show him some things we want to build in the new office. While inside every office that had a window had these cute little lizards lounging in them. One scampered away but the other one I had to save and let go outside cause he was trapped inside the office.

Well Jane is now on a flight back to NY and I am let to handle the rest of the office planning until she comes back in November for the final touches.

Anyways,
When Parker came home from school today he told me he had some surprises for me.
He brought me home a pencil sharpener, and plastic elephant and a ring!

He got them for doing so good on his homework. Which tonight I will be helping him with his social studies report that will reflect on his report card.

Oh what a night

So here are a few kooky pictures from Saturday night. What a fun time. There was a awesome slideshow that Greg made of a bunch of MSB photos. It was funny to see some old pictures of me in them too and some friends that hung out back in the day that we don't see too much of.
