Catching up...My Business trip

It's been very busy with work these past few weeks with our annual dealer meeting and training classes going on that I just been quite frankly too damn tired to blog but now that things are getting back to normal (somewhat) It's time to play a little catch up so today I am going to blog about my business trip.
Two weeks ago was our Annual Dealer meeting and I had to be away from home for a few days.
I got up early Sunday morning and Holly came by to pick me up and it was off to beautiful Carlsbad California to the La Costa Resort. I had to take one last picture of Ava before I left a few days. This is how I am usually greeted before I leave to work each day.
We got to the resort about 9:30 am. It took us only about a hour and a half to get there..not to shabby. We had some setting up to do before we checked into our rooms. When I got to my room I was SO excited about how nice it was. I had to ofcourse take a picture of my Awesome Marble Bath tub. Monday morning I took a nice long hot bubble bath..It was so nice cause I could completely lie down in the tub.

I had two beds in my room. They were so comfortable and the down comforters were hard to get out of in the mornings.

After Holly and I checked into our rooms it was straight to work. We were working the IT workshop room where we were supporting dealers with training on our warranty sites.

After the IT workshop was closed it was over to cocktail hour and then dinner. We sat with some of our fellow co workers as well as some of our dealers. Why do I always end up with bunny ears!!!!!

They did a big show on the product launch for 2010 and had a lot of positive things to say

After dinner we were off the clock and went to hang out with our fellow co workers from the East coast and some of our dealers where we cut loose and had a couple drinks..let the party begin

It was going to be a busy day so off to bed and I was trying to figure out the schedule for the day and low and behold they had our itinerary featured on one of the channels on my tv..that was pretty cool

We were supplied with breakfast,lunch and dinner...after dinner it was back for more cocktails at the lounge. This is one of our long time dealers Bobby pictured with Holly..I like this picture

On Tuesday was check out day..I had to do a passenger Demo on one of our new bikes..it was pretty fun. I was holding on to Josh for dear life. that was my first time ever riding as a passenger on a sport bike..I seriously was freaking out at one point...what a thrill!!

All in all it was a great dealer meeting..I am looking forward to next years...I wonder where it will be....We all voted for Hawaii..

LA COUNTY FAIR..YEEHAW

On Sunday Gabe and I took the kids to the last day of the LA COUNTY FAIR and met up with my mom and dad and my brother and his girlfriend Jessica. It was a Perfect day..not too hot or cold.

It was only a dollar to get in before 1 so we got there early thinking there would be a huge line..nope we walked right in. We went over to the Trains to met up with the rest of the family.

We then went to the Smokey the bear campsite area where Parker got to pet a snake,pet a gecko and hold a stink beetle...

Parker and I went to go to the fire look out tower. Ava loved the smokey the bear..I guess he was just like a HUGE living Teddy Bear to her..

We then checked out the dinosaurs.

I pretty much put the camera away at this point and just took the kids on some rides, and we met up with Michael Burns and Loryn who happened to be at the fair too. We had a great time. I love fairs....

Knott's Scary Farm part 2

Woo HOO I finally found my camera cord (here under my desk at work) so now I can finally start updating my blog. Anyways as I said in a earlier post on the Knott's Scary Farm trip here are My pictures I took of the evening..,

After more drinking and later the night gets we all got kinda sloppy..so glad Josh and Vickie let us stay in their room with them...Greg looks like he is getting some assistance with the locals..

Saturday was a pretty busy day for us...

Parker had a birthday party to go to at Chuck e Cheese for a classmate so Gabe and him were gone most of the day. Ava and I spent the whole day at home. I was primping for a very nice dinner that we had planned on for some time now.

I had to dye my hair so did that and did my nails and gave myself a facial and waxing and then just pretty much relaxed until Gabe and Parker got back home.

My mom came over to sit the kids for us at 6 and our dinner reservations were for 7:30.

Gabe and I got there a little early so me and him went to his restaurant for happy hour and ordered a champagne cocktail called Chanel which was really good and Gabe had a couple margaritas. We finally walked over to Roy's where the rest of our dinner party was already checked in at the bar.

We had a couple of Lychee Martini's then had a really great dinner. I always order the Salmon Crab Dynamite which BUMMER it was no longer on the menu..Luckily Gabe and I begged our waiter if possibly the Chef can make two which he did!!! We were so happy!

Gabe and I both mowed down our crab dynamites I have said it before and I will always say it again..when you want to go somewhere nice for dinner and have some incredible food GO TO ROY's at Fashion Island..this place is Killer!!!

It was a nice evening with friends and laughter.

Halloween Time at Disneyland

So last Friday afterwork Gabe and I and the kids and Chris and Holly decided we would go to Disneyland for the evening and check out all the Halloween decorations and ride on the Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and the Haunted mansion..well..we should have known just by all the traffic around the park that it was not happening.
We drive up and it is just packed with cars and I was thinking why is it SOO crowded. Our first inclination was we ended up having to park on the roof at seriously the 2nd to the last parking space available and then getting out of the car I see ALLLLLL these kids in Halloween costumes when I finally realized OOOHHHH this must be for the trick o treat thing that is going on in Cal Adventure so we thought cool maybe Disneyland won't be so packed cause everyone is going to to DCA..NOT!!! We walked into Disneyland and it was not too bad and we headed straight for Space Mountain where we noticed hmm no fast pass times on the board (must be sold out) I walked over to the fast pass booths and yep they were sold out and the wait time to get on the ride was 110 minutes..(almost 2 hours!!) so then we were like forget about it we will take the train to the Haunted Mansion..Well that was not any better...55 min wait and the line was all the way down by the restaurant in the middle of New Orleans square and there was total traffic control where everyone had to walk one way and ugh it was a nightmare!!! We decided to get the hell outta there and just go home..we figure we will go back on a week night rather then a Friday.
Anyways I am most likely going to be taking Parker and Ava to the trick o treat event next Thursday as long as Gabe can get the night off..hence the reason i have not purchased the tickets yet..I don't think I can take the two of them by myself...well maybe.....

ahh sweet Relaxation...

So I have lost my camera cord to upload photos and I still have not found it.
So far this week has been nice and relaxing. I been spending a lot of time pampering at home and hanging out with the kids. It has been a fairly busy week at work because we are prepping for our Big Annual Dealer meeting next weekend which I am looking forward to. Usually every year it is in a different state but this year we are holding it in California again at the fabulous La Costa Resort in Carlsbad Ca.

Holly and I are going to carpool up at 5am Sunday morning since we have to be there to start decorating our breakout rooms and help set up our stations in the IT Department afterwards then it's a social mixer with the dealers that include dinner and cocktails. I am really looking forward of having two quite nights of solid sleep in a big giant bed in a lux room.

Every year I always say I am gonna hit the spa too but I never have the time so I won't even say it this year either.

Knott's Scary Farm

Last Saturday we went to Knott's Halloween Haunt to celebrate Josh's 40th birthday! We had a pretty big group. I took pictures but I can't locate my camera cord to load them up so I stole these couple from Greg's. Hopefully I will have a chance to post my pictures up soon.

Anyways the night started off with Cocktails at the Amber Waves Bar at the Knott's hotel where everyone was staying. After the bar we went to the room and had a couple more cocktails then it was off into the park. It was pretty dead that night which was GREAT for us because we got to walk on rides and mazes. We went through the slaughterhouse maze first then a couple rides then we went to the beer garden to have another drink and ended up dancing to 70's disco..funny stuff!!.
It was off for more mazes,rides,drinks,laughs and good times til 2am! After we left the park in our drunken stuper we went to Mrs. Knott's Chicken house for the Haunt midnight to 3am breakfast Buffet. The food was so bad..it was funny cause BOB everytime the waitress would come by he would always tell her Give my compliments to the chef this food is wonderful haahaha. After breakfast it was to the hotel room to hit the sack. I was so exhausted I must have fell asleep instantly. Anyway we didn't get to hit all the mazes so Gabe and I were thinking about even going back in mid October..I think that is a good possibility.
