Aiden's 2nd Birthday

Sunday The kids and I drove up to Claremont to celebrate my cousins son's 2nd birthday!
It was good to see family members I have not seen in a long time.
I was asked by my aunt if I had plans to have anymore children and I told her no. I had way to many health issues with Ava and with myself that I don't want to put myself at risk again. The C section has really been a damper in my getting back to shape plan too. I just cannot really get full use of my stomach muscles and when I do crunches it still hurts internally where I had the cut.

Anyway it was a every sunny clear day for a birthday party

My uncle made a nice spread of fruit and veggies and cold cuts and a very tasty asparagus salad.
All the kids had fun playing in the backyard. It was filled with 2 and 3 year old. Parker was the oldest there and he just mainly just kicked the ball around in back.
Aiden riding his quad thingy. Ava was watching all the little ones ride them around but she did not have an interest. She just mainly wanted to check out the plants and play with the balls.
She kept picking up these little seed things that I had to keep taking away from her..
She liked sitting in the big chair
Time for Cake!! Adrian did such a great job with the Thomas cake. She makes wonderful cakes.
This was a chocolate cake with Oreo cookie filling
After cake came presents!!
He does a great job opening presents. He knew right what to do.
Time to play with the gifts!!
I didn't stay too long cause I had a slight headache from the party bus the night before. So I let the kids play in the backyard for just a little while longer.
I can't believe all these babies growing up so quickly.

Parker's 9th Birthday Party

We had Parker's bday party at Boomer's this past Monday. We thought it would be a good day to have it since all the kids were out of school this past Monday for President's day.

Parker's Party started at 12 noon so we got there a little early to set up the table with goody bags for the kids. There was a sign with Parker's name on it with balloons so I took his picture there before all the guests arrived.
While we waited for the pizzas to come out we gave the kids a bunch of tokens each to go and play some arcade games. Parker got a lot of tickets
Time to eat! all the kids got their own personal pizzas to eat.
It was great that everyone we invited but 2 showed up.
The kids eating
Time for cake. It was a big hit. They all surrounded it and were very excited.
The bakery did a great job of it too.
Singing Happy Birthday
After cake it was time to open presents. Parker got some great gifts too. He loved everything he got.
After we were done inside with presents and cake we handed all the kids wristbands to go on the rides outside. Of course Bumper Boats were first on the list.
all the kids in his party got the whole bumper boats to themselves
After they got off they were all soaking wet! We lined them all up to take photos.
Then it was on to more rides. These are Parker's best friends in his classroom at school. It was cute seeing his little crew at the party and all the boys hanging out. They had so much fun.
Ava rode with Grandpa on the Choo choo..it was the only thing she could go on.
Ferris wheel time! I swear this is the fastest Ferris wheel I have ever seen..I would never go on it. I was getting nervous just watching the kids on it. All the parents were yelling out Stop rocking the Carts!!!!
after rides we all went over to play mini golf. They tried to give us score cards but we were like forget about it..just let them have fun. The rule was each gets 3 turns then it was off to the next course.
They had a lot of fun but soon all of them were getting grumpy.
They liked the courses with the windmills and little houses on them.
My brother and his girlfriend were entertaining themselves crossing the little rivers.
When golfing was over we went into another arcade cause Parker had a few tokens left so he played some racing games and then it was time to go home.
I forget how great and really inexpensive it is to have a party here at Boomer's. Everyone had a blast.

Happy Birthday to Rick!

Last night we went to celebrate Rick's birthday at a Japanese restaurant in Stanton. We sat for a long while enjoying Japanese Beer,Plum wine and Saki after Saki.

Here is one end of the table

And the other end..Sluggo said he was talking about Port

Than Adrian Showed up with one of her Famous Birthday cakes (she did my baby Shower Cake) She does amazing work and always ready for hire! The cakes are reallllly good too!
Rick's theme was a sushi cake. It even had fondant chopsticks and a dipping tray on the board it was sitting on..too cool.

I had Loryn take a photo of us cousins

Ok take 2!!!

After dinner it was time to let Rick blow out the candles

Closer view of the cake

We all cheered Gabe cause he was the only one to brave and eat the Fondant Sushi on the top of the cake..He said it was really good. Even better than his dish

After dinner we all went to have some beers at The ratskeller in Old World...we had a pretty awesome joke fest upstairs in the evening..some even made Michael Steven Burns blush!

Colette Turns 2!!

Yesterday was Colettes 2ND Birthday. They had a casual party at their home in Venice Beach.
They had in their backyard The little Mermaid soundtrack on loop and all the kids were playing in the back yard with the bubble machine while the adults sat on the table outside enjoying Italian sandwiches and vino.

I sat Ava on the grass in the backyard for her to watch the bigger kids

All the kids than had a Easter Egg hunt for the birthday Party..I had to tell Parker to make sure to let the little kids get some eggs before he went crazy.
Someone gave a egg to Ava

Here is the Birthday girl..she opened her eggs to eat the candy as she collected the egg one at a time

Everyone was having a good time watching the kids
Parker had to take a break to eat some candy
Ava's BFF Evie Finally arrived. They had fun. Evie had a pacifier attached to her dress and it caught Ava's eyes instantly she went to reach for it and tried to put it in her mouth.
I can't beleive How red Evie's hair is.
Soon we will have another little girl in the mix
Josh was telling us a story about his old hippity Hop
Time to sing Happy Birthday

This was a homemade cake one of their friends made. It reminded me of the cakes my grandmother used to make for me as a child.

I had to get a pregnancy pose of Holly. We are all stoked and already got the plans in work for her baby shower in June. We all are thinking a ladies luncheon is a must to complete all the details. We can't wait for baby Sofia.
