Knott's Scary Farm

Last Saturday we went to Knott's Halloween Haunt to celebrate Josh's 40th birthday! We had a pretty big group. I took pictures but I can't locate my camera cord to load them up so I stole these couple from Greg's. Hopefully I will have a chance to post my pictures up soon.

Anyways the night started off with Cocktails at the Amber Waves Bar at the Knott's hotel where everyone was staying. After the bar we went to the room and had a couple more cocktails then it was off into the park. It was pretty dead that night which was GREAT for us because we got to walk on rides and mazes. We went through the slaughterhouse maze first then a couple rides then we went to the beer garden to have another drink and ended up dancing to 70's disco..funny stuff!!.
It was off for more mazes, rides, drinks, laughs and good times til 2am! After we left the park in our drunken stuper we went to Mrs. Knott's Chicken house for the Haunt midnight to 3am breakfast Buffet. The food was so bad..it was funny cause BOB everytime the waitress would come by he would always tell her Give my compliments to the chef this food is wonderful haahaha. After breakfast it was to the hotel room to hit the sack. I was so exhausted I must have fell asleep instantly. Anyway we didn't get to hit all the mazes so Gabe and I were thinking about even going back in mid October..I think that is a good possibility.

Here is The GANG that went..this was in Ghost town.
Here is us dancing to the 70's music like a bunch of crazy chicks..the strobe lights gave it this weird fogging effect. The Birthday boy Josh and his very lovely wife Vickie
Gabe and I and Michael Burns with Chris and Holly
There was some pretty hysterical moments throughout the night of getting scared and pictures..it was the greatest time!

Temecula Wine Tasting..

So this Past Saturday Gabe and went with John and Kirsten to our first wine tasting trip in Temecula. We just made a day trip out of it and it was perfect.
We been talking about going for a long time now and finally we did it.

We started off at Calloway doing some wine tasting. Gabe and I bought a awesome Late Harvest Cab that was to die for.
It was surprisingly not to hot like I thought it would be..it was actually quite comfortable.
At Calloway we did the wine tour. It was pretty cool checking out the wine process behind the scenes. John and Gabe in the Barrel room.
After Calloway we went over to Hart. I think my favorite wine there was the Zin. It was a fruit bomb. we didn't buy any from there though.
After Hart we went to Weins and there we tried quite a bit of wines actually. The most intriguing was the white port. John and I both thought the after taste was like biting into a Hershey bar with almonds.
After Weins we went to the Smokehouse at Ponte and had a terrific lunch but not without tasting some wines well waiting for our table to be ready. We sat out in the patio and they had this mice mist machine on so it felt really refreshing. After lunch it was on the Keyways for some tastings and then to La Cereza where we purchased A Peach Champagne that was so delightful. After La Cereza it was off to Marie Carrie to try the Pineapple Champagne....I really was not too impressed with the pineapples champagne but we bought a couple other bottles of wine that were outstanding. Gabe bought me a beautiful necklace too out at one of the little tents they had out front. It was time to go home after Marie Carrie.

I can't wait to go back sometime and check out some new places!!

Jogging buddy...

So since I can't join a gym cause of Sitter needs ..I been doing my own exercising routine everyday at home. I do floor exercises and some jogging in Place when it's too hot to jog outside (which has been all this month).
Anyways I was jogging in place the other day and notice that Ava was copying me and laughing. I thought it was the cutest thing. I then would jog back and fourth from my living room to Parkers room to my room and she would just follow me acting like she was jogging too..anyways I jogged right to the camera and took some action shots of her...

What a funny little baby..she is getting so much personality these days

Irwindale Speedway..

So not last Saturday but the one before Gabe and I and the kids went with my dad and mom and brother and his GF to the races at the Irwindale Speedway. My dad usually gets a bunch of free tickets and for months been inviting Gabe and I to go and we finally took him up on the offer and I am glad we did. We had such a great time!
I was pretty concerned about taking Ava but she loved watching the cars race by. I will however next time bring some ear muffs for her..I didn't realize how loud NASCAR's are.

Inside they have a ton of food places and stuff to see. Parker brought a couple hot wheels with him and so conveniently too cause there was this little trailer thing parked inside that was the hot wheel test track. Basically kids can race their hot wheels My brother caught the cars for Parker as he raced them.
After the races a ton of kids we here racing their cars....good thing Parker had it to himself a bit before the show
The cars all lined up well they introduce the drivers
We saw a TON of crashes..it was insane..I have to say a lot of time I was on the edge of my seat..especially with the crazy figure 8 racers..oh and watching this little kid race and go flipping through the air was kinda crazy too..Luckily she was ok.
My brother acting a fool...Ava was in Awe at the cars.
They were SO LOUD
The end of the night they had a demolition derbi..that was really fun to watch..man what a pile of crap cars. Anyway..I am looking froward to go again soon.

To much fun and games..

So I have not blogged pretty much this whole month but it's time to get caught up.
I have not been up to much but I have been hanging out a lot with my neighbors and usually we all just watch movies, or listen to music and sip on wine or beer or play video games. I been spending too much of my time playing all these damn games on facebook. I am so addicted that I have put my blog on the back burner..time to get back to blogging!!

Pretty much every Friday night I have been heading over to Sean's place with the rest of the troop and we been playing Beatles Rockband. Sean bought it the very first day it was released and it's been non stop playing since then. We completed the whole game now already.

anyway here are some shots of us playing it the first day of the release..what a blast it is..

The graphics are so amazing!!
Sean had to bust out his Sargent Peppers coat...
I think now that we got the game completed....our Friday nights won't be as consistent. I can't wait til an expansion pack comes out!!

Labor day Weekend--Long Blog....

So it has been awhile since I blogged. My computer at home is not working to well and when it does I have have a chance to go on it cause either Gabe or Parker are on it (mainly Parker playing games). Anyways, I thought I would just write what has went on in the past week with us. Monday the week started out with me being sick and taking a sick day at work. Tuesday was just an average go to work come home relax kinda day. Wednesday Sean and a couple of friends came over and we had wine and bread. That night after everyone left Gabe and I went to bed and then it began!! Ava woke up at midnight and stayed up screaming and crying and did not go to bed and cried non stop til 5:30am!! We were going to take her to the emergency but she did not have a fever and ended up winding down so I stayed home to take her to the doctor first thing in the morning. The doctor said she just has a virus and a small reaction to her Chicken pox vaccine she had the previous week. She had broken out with these little rashes all over here and there that looked like bug bites but I guess they were basically pox. She had a fever at that time too and we found out she is 21 lbs! Pretty petite.
Friday was much better. She was feeling better and the time had finally come for the 3 days Labor day weekend! We did a HOdge Podge of things for labor day.
Friday..I have no pictures but I ended up hanging out a Sean's place playing Rockband all night. Ally and toni came over too. It was pretty fun...we are practicing for the Beatles Rockband that he is going to get at the end of this week.

Saturday was a wash. We wwre on our way to a birthday party for Chloe and I had to stop off at the store really quick and my car died in the parking lot. The battery was complelety dead. So Toni came and picked up the kids and myself while Gabe waited for my dad to come and get a new battery installed in my car. By this time we totally missed the party andjust went home. I had Gabe go and buy me Guitar Hero World tour which is like Rockband but for Playstation 2 and later that night we invited friends over and had some chips and dips and beers and had a Guitar Hero party. We all took turns singing, playing drums and Guitar. I really need to get a bass though for the game. It was soooo much fun!!..I didn't get pictures either Sat night..which is a bummer cause I am sure I could have gotten some pretty funny ones in.

Sunday we took the kids to Wild Rivers. It was the perfect day for a water Park. First we went to the Lazy river and hung out then let Ava and Parker play in the little kiddie water park area. We then went to our little grassy part of the park to have our picnic. That's when I decided to get my camera out.
Parker and Ava before we went in the water.
Picnic time. Ava was eating a peanut butter and Jelyl sandwhich and we had some carrots, nectorines, animals crakers, chips and soda.
I think all that playing in the water made her very hungry.
She had fun playing in the big intertube..
Parker and her both!
Splashing around
Gabe then took her on this slide on his lap
BIG SPLASH AT THE END>>>Totally went right over her head
The End result!!
We watched Parker go on some slides for awhile while we sat out in the sun
Parker was having a good ol time
Going backwards
We put Ava on the swings for awhile she liked it alot
Parker had to have some Dippin Dots...and Ava really wanted his draw string to his swim trunks
Time to head out..but one more picture
It was fun..next time though the kids will get a sitter so I can go on some water slides!!
When we got home we pretty much crashed out for the rest of the night..we were pretty tired.
Monday for Labor day we started the day out to go to Disneyland and DCA just to hit up grizzly rapids then we were going to go home and BBQ. We did make it to the grizzly rapids. Just me and Gabe and Parker went. My mom stayed home with Ava.
Pre Soaked picture
After grizzly rapids we went over to Indiana Jones

After that we went home to BBQ. It was pretty fun and I can't believe I didn't take pictures!!

Ally came over and brought beer and Sausages. My mom made some sides and I made chicken kabobs. We had tons of beer and wine and later Toni and My brother and his gf and my dad came over as well to Join my mom and me and the rest. We then got into playing some more Guitar Hero World tour...we named our band LIPSTICK KILL..Good times..all in all it was a pretty nice weekend..but much to fast!

Happy 9th Birthday James

On Sunday we went to celebrate James's 9th Birthday at John's Incredible Pizza in Buena Park. It's like Gamesworks or Dave and Busters. The kids had a blast!! It was awesome cause everything was All you can eat plus you got a game card with 25 credits. This place had all different sorts of Pizzas like Spicy Peanut, Mac and cheese, BBQ Chicken, Pesto and much much more. If Pizza is not your thing they had a salad bar and a pasta bar, soup and dessert. Inside the place were TONS of games. Amusement park rides, bowling, bumper cars and much more.

We all met up in the Party waiting area then were whisked away to one of the private party rooms. While we were being escorted to our room there was tons of different themed rooms where you can have your party. Ava was wide eyed at the brightly colored party room full of balloons.
The kids got to play games. Parker won the game of musical chairs.
The Birthday Boy with the Pizza Bear dude
Ava was anxious so we took her to look at some of the games.
Then back to the room to sing Happy Birthday.
The kids were now free to roam the game and ride area. We took Ava on her first coin op ride. I don't think she was too in to it at first but then she warmed up to it.
We then took her to the gated toddler area ..she had a BLAST in there. Especially now that she can walk! Looks like I need to make a trip to Ikea and get her one of these bead things
Then on the little plastic playset. She had FUN going down the slide.
Then she got the hang of climbing up it on her own and playing inside and going on the slide
YEAH!!! She liked banging on the window for us to see her.
Once we took her out Gabe and I were talking and then noticed her just SMILING like this and we were like what is she looking at????!?!!?!? Then we discovered what it was. It was this big Spongebob game with a big screen with spongebob talking on it..we are convinced that she believes it to be the real spongebob.
Here is a close up of that big smile.
Parker won a Bunch of tickets and cashed them in for lots of prizes.

It was a fun time...we will have to go back soon!
